"bRiEf OvErViEw"

Hey Guys, I again have been really lazy, and haven't taken the effort to post but hey what can you do? The long weekend- Friday I returned from another trip up to the edges of Pt Augusta and another bushwalk, returning around 5 and having to quickly change and jumping the car to attend an art exhibition hosted and showing some awesome paintings from and artists called "Tom Gleghorne" who is also a family friend. After the exhibition we went out to dinner to a restaurant called "the Jasmine" very nice, finishing up around 1230 and returning home.

Saturday- woke up late and waited for work that night.
Sunday- deciding to visit my brother who is living down at west lakes the family and some friends decided to go out for some lunch, around 630 I cruised up to the champion toby's house for dinner and a movie.
Monday (Public Holiday!!!) woke up at 10, cleaned up my eternally messy room for once, then went down to Marion to see a movie with Jemima, going to see "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" which was an awesome movie, and quite hilarious.

This week, inevitably another boring week down at tafe with classes, this weekend I'm going up to maccas' house for a few drinks but to also help celebrate a family birthday!

"ToO tHe DePtHs"

The Past few Months have been pretty busy with work and study going on. but it hasnt been really exciting nor worth posting. I arrived home on friday night from a week of scuba diving, from which I have now become an "Advance Open Water Diver" one step closer towards becoming Dive Master. I spent the week down at Normanville diving at various places eg: Second Valley and Rapid Bay, doing a Night Dive at Second Valley which is an unreal experience. we walked out along the jetty at around 8pm, jumped in and went for it, surfacing just after 9pm. Over the week I also completed other modules of th advance diver such as deep water dives down to 30 mtrs at, what is called the "Aldinga Drop Off" right where Rodney Fox was taken by the white pointer, and also a wreck dive, diving on the HMAS Hobart call sign : Green Ghost. We were lucky enough to go inside the wreck and enter both the "Bridge" and the "Engine Room"

The week was an Unbelievable experience, and I cant wait for the next specialisation week where I will become a "Rescue Diver"- which may give me the rare chance to join the Star Force for a day and leap my way out of the rescue helicopter and plunge into the water from around 30ft, to help someone in need.

Im off to Wirrabarra, the following week doing "search and rescue", for my bushwalking component, whilst also having the Styaries join us there as well, Cant wait

"ShE'lL bE rIgHt" - LaSt WoRdS oF a PiLoT

As of last post I have had quite an interesting time, my outdoor rec group never managed to go on the overnight bushwalk due to the heat and total fire bans, so I had the two days off and free to do anything, with much planned it turned out to be 2 quite days on the couch watching movies and the tv, not really exciting but nontheless satisfying. On Friday I recieved a call from Maccas, enquiring if I was interested in joining him for yet another flight, as he picks up his flight hours and takes another step towards going commercial!!

Friday night, I was due to start work at 7, catering for a wedding reception, the night turned out to be quite entertaining with a live "classical" group performing...... believe it or not, classical songs!. Saturday I surfaced early, arriving at Maccas' at 9, we left shortly afterwards, getting to the air field by 1030, after doing neccesary navigation and flight loging we were off, straight out over the Adelaide City, Adelaide Airport and straight out to sea, flying to Minlaton on the Yorke Pen. We got to the other side of the Gulf, and carried on along the coast. We flew over the unbelievable country town of Wallaroo, my favourite, as well as Kadina.
We were due to continue flying on to Pt Lincoln, but dust storms prevented us voyaging further with little visability. The excitment in the cabin grew, and the adrenaline kicked in, one for Maccas never being in this situation and taking it as a new experience, and two for me not even knowing if we would get out of this blanket of red dirt, nah just joking it was wicked! We landed back in Murray Bridge around 330. We drove home and had just sat on the couch to view the video of the flight, when Maccas reached into his pocket and pulled out the planes keys! LOL. He couldn't believe it. He drove back the next morning to return them. Saturday I had work again.

Sunday spent the day inside ridding myself of the last traces of my cold that I caught the week previous. Monday was a normal day at TAFE, I had a Physical exam for my Scuba Diving, followed by a Staff Meeting at the resturant that night.
After the staff meeting had concluded several staff members chuffed of to Marion to see the new 'Lawrance Fishburne' Movie "Assult on Precinct 13". I thought it was a great action flick, one not for the light hearted.

Back to TAFE this week, more scuba diving, will keep you posted.

"YoU cAnT mAKe iT On yOuR oWn"

Im back and posting again, but with not much to post about. My outdoor Rec Course has swung into action with the past two weeks "pre-specialisation and project weeks, I made it into the Scuba Diving group( just one of the 5 specialisation groups) which im stoked about and now know that by the end of the year I will be a Dive Master and have a 3month contract up on the great barrier reef for 3 months with a company called Quicksilver, which will initially give me more experience yet more diving hours and again another stepping stone to where I'm aiming. I"ve also been out purchasing quite a few item for the course eg: semi dry suit for diving aswell as some wicked split Finns "vortex v12" to be precise.
but anyhow, this Easter weekend wasn't to good, thurs night started the long weekend, as I made my way to the havelock with tafe friends bumping into swimming mates such as "Jack" and "Hallett". Friday I took the time to practise "rolling" or Eskimo rolls in the kayak in my pool which was heaps of fun, a requirement for the course to be able to do rolls consistently and also rolls without the use of a paddle(hand rolls) which are very challenging, but non the less fun... The rest of the weekend was pretty much spent infront of the TV or in bed with the blankets over me due to an annoying cold that I caught.
that's about it, next Thursday im off on a over night bushwalk back to the memorable Mt Crawford! Cya

"GoOd ThInGs cOmE To tHoSe whO wAiT"

Since the most recent post I have been very busy with the Outdoor Rec course, believe it or not more than 2/3 of the course is out and about in the field and on camps, eg: bushwalking and kyaking, whilst also doing scuba at various dive sites.

Im enjoying the course immensely, whilst it keeps me active and on my toes, with minimal or very little theory. Which is even better. But yeah its going well.

The other week I had mates from the lenzerheide up for some celebatory drinks, and a swim, the only dampener of night was the awkwardness and some what confusion that is going on in my life at the moment between myself and Tara, But I've decided to brush off my usual pessimism and focus on the course and stay happy.
But besides that it was a great night which finally gave me some time to put my feet up with my mates after, a week long camp previous.
I went to see "Constantine" with maccas which is an awesome movie, a cross between Blade and the Matrix, then besides that im working on the weekends and a few week nights.

"aUsSiE WeEk - MiDdLeToN

On Wednesday Morning bright and early, I along with Tara and her sister Mel, made our way up to the well know and over crowded beach of Middleton, to accompany a waiting brother and his friends, one of which I had know previously, during the days of swimming training and competitions, but non the less it was great to catch up with him and meet the other guys.
The day although scorching hot was very pleasant and the water the warmest I've ever felt before in South Australian waters. Bodysurfing, Surfing and boarding some, 4 to 5 foot waves was unbelievably fun because of the fact that they were not the dumpers you usually find on Adelaide’s local and favourite beaches. These waves were so good and so much fun to be around! I loved it!

We played some of the usual and always exciting beach cricket, but then also introduced the game of gridiron into the days schedule, choosing not to play "touch gridiron" and go full rules we were all in for a brutal decking somewhere sometime during the game. We left the beach at 4 making it home just after 5 where I was to freshen up and head over to Tara’s for the night. The family and I spent the night, the way it should be sitting in the lounge room with pizzas, beer's and the cricket on in the foreground.

As of late I again find myself being used as a "side plate" just someone or something to use then discharge but that’s life. Besides that I finally finish up down here at SSU this week and now have joyous holidays until I start the course at Regency mid February.
